UABC Life

Our mission is to help people know Jesus, and for us:
to know Jesus = to WORSHIP + to GROW + to SERVE

Our intergenerational church family worship together every Sunday morning @10:00. Currently, in an effort to minimize the risks of spreading COVID, we are operating under some restrictions. Still, every Sunday you can expect a modern worship songs with a favorite hymn possibly mixed in, prayer time, and a Bible-based message. A children’s message, announcements, and offering links are available online.

[Currently Suspended] For children (preschoolers – 6th graders), the EDGe occurs during Sunday morlogo-colorning worship. After the children’s moment, kids go with the EDGe Guides to experience a biblical theme. To nurture children with various learning styles, one week the theme might be experienced through science, another week through games, another week through art, and another week through music or drama. Children usually still get to worship with their families at the very beginning and ending of the worship time.

There are currently three small Bible study groups for adults. The Pastor also offers short-term classes throughout the year. For more details about any of these opportunities, please contact the church office.

The Youth Group is currently meeting every Sunday afternoon @3-4:30pm at a local park. This group is for middle- & high-schoolers.

[Currently Suspended] For children (preschoolers – 6th graders), the school-year opportunity to grow in faith is Pioneer Clubs on Wednesdays, @4:15-6pm. Students have their own age-based group where they learn how to love God and how to read the Bible. There is an online registration form for Pioneer Clubs. In the summertime, kids enjoy a Vacation Bible School adventure in a backyard in Alton or Godfrey for a week. This program is also for preschoolers through 6th graders. Contact the office or the Children’s Director for the dates or details of either of these opportunities.

Our #1 ministry is the Preschool. We are honored to serve our preschool families (whether they worship with us or not). Please go to the Preschool site to learn more about the preschool.

There are numerous Faith in Action opportunities throughout a non-pandemic year. We’ve handed out [cold!] freeze pops during the Memorial Day parade and free pie at the park. We’ve cleaned up a cemetery, painted houses, and spent time helping out at the Community Hope Center. The church office has information about any upcoming opportunities for anyone who’s interested in putting their faith into action with us.

In many of the recent, non-pandemic years we’ve organized a week-long adult serve trip to work with Habitat for Humanity. Past destinations have included the Gulf Coast, Iowa, Alabama, Joplin, Kansas City, and Puerto Rico.
